Bridge Team

Learn the basics about how to safely navigate a ship as part of a Bridge Team.

You will act as the Helmsman steering the ship, the Throttleman controlling the engines and the Officer of the Watch giving the orders to safely navigate the ship.

Environment Canada Marine Forecasts and Warnings 

Any time you head out on the water it is imperative you have the most up to date marine forecast. 

Automatic Identification System

The Automatic Identification System (AIS) is an automatic tracking system used on ships and by vessel traffic services for identifying and locating vessels by electronically exchanging data with other nearby ships, AIS base stations, and satellites.

BlooSee

BlooSee is an internet platform for everything ocean related. It offers free online and mobile services for sailors, boaters, divers, surfers, ocean conservation, wind/kite sports, fishing, and anything else that has to do with the sea. BlooSee uses geographic data to organize and source information from trusted institutions and a growing community of ocean loving individuals. Hamilton Class Cutter

The Hamilton class cutter was the largest class of vessel in the United States Coast Guard until replaced by the National Security Cutter, aside from the Polar Ice Breakers. The cutters are called "Hamilton class" after their lead ship, or "Secretary class" because they are named after Secretaries of the Treasury. Click on the image of the cutter to find the specifications.

Marine Protector Class Patrol Boat

The Marine Protector class is a class of coastal patrol boats of the United States Coast Guard. The 87-foot-long vessels are based on the Stan 2600 design by Damen Group, and were built by Bollinger Shipyards of Lockport, Louisiana. Each boat is named after a marine predator.
